Jonathan begs Sanusi for support
Kano - The saying in politics that there is no permanent friend or enemy played out on Wednesday during the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Kano State as part of his re-election campaign, reports Punch.
The President during the visit to the ancient town paid homage to his erstwhile foe, Sanusi lLamido Sanusi, who is now the Emir of Kano.
During the visit, Jonathan congratulated Sanusi on his installation and solicited for his support in his re-election bid.
He said he was in the Emir’s palace to formally introduce himself, Vice President Namadi Sambo and other PDP candidates in the election.
Sanusi, who is now addressed as Muhammad Sanusi II, stressed the need for all office seekers to go about their campaigns without violence.
