Rapper, Jay Z Sued For Using “Oh” In ‘Run This Town’
According to record label TufAmerica, the hip hop giant took the short word form Eddie Bo’s 1969 single “Hook and Sling”.
Jay Z has been slammed with a new lawsuit for using one word – OH – in his 2009 hit song “Run This Town” which also featured Kanye West andRihanna.

The “Holy Grail” hit-maker has already responded to the accusation. His legal rep stated that, “Even if one short word – or the recording thereof – could possibly be deemed original enough to warrant copyright protection, this fleeting and generic phrase is neither quantitatively nor qualitatively significant.”
Therefore they’ve reportedly set a motion to dismiss the lawsuit but it remains unclear if TufAmerica will accept to walk away.
Meanwhile, Jay Z is reportedly working on a joint album with his superstar wife, Beyonce with whom he shares a daughter,Blue Ivy.
